OUR STORY

The CFG was created in January of 2020 when members of the Professional Writers Association of Canada (PWAC) voted to join the independent membership of the Canadian Media Guild Freelance Branch (CMG Freelance) at a new home at CWA-SCA Canada. Both organizations have a long-standing reputation of defending freelance rights and providing professional development and advice for its respective membership. A founding convention will be held in Toronto in October of 2020

MISSION STATEMENT

The Canadian Freelance Guild is an affiliated body of the Communication Workers of America – Canada (CWA-SCA Canada) and ensures direct political representation for freelance members. The CFG has a democratically elected executive of freelance members who work together to provide leadership and contribute expertise to support freelance members, as well as ensure freelancers enjoy space and consideration within the wider operations of CWA-SCA Canada.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout.
